News from south east water:
Upcoming works in Farnborough Road to complete Hale to Aldershot project
Good afternoon,
We’re now nearing the completion of our project to strengthen our network between Hale and Aldershot.
The project has been ongoing since May 2024 and since then, we've installed around four kilometres of new water mains to increase the capacity of our network as the local community grows.
This has included pipe laying in several roads in the area, including Sandy Hill Road, Bourley Road and Farnborough Road.
We've also laid more than 1,600 metres of new water mains in private land as part of the project.
To complete the project, we need to do some final checks and we'll be carrying out work at the junction of Pennefather's Road and Farnborough Road, starting on Monday, 17 March.
Three-way traffic lights will be in operation for the duration of the work, which is expected to last two days. This will include returning the road to a safe and driveable condition.
We'll then return to Sandy Hill Road from Wednesday, 19 March for the final stages of the project, with our work taking place in the verge area and no impact on the road itself.
This work is expected to take between three and five days to complete.
We thank you and the local community for your patience while we have carried out this important work.
