Parish Council portion of Council Tax will not increase in 2025/2026
Published: 12 February 2025
Ewshot Parish Council is pleased to announce that, following discussions during its budget planning meetings, there will be no increase in the parish portion of council tax for the financial year 2025/2026.
This decision was made after careful consideration of the parish’s current financial position. Despite rising costs and economic challenges, the parish council is committed to ensuring that the financial burden on households remains manageable while still providing essential services and maintaining the high standard of community facilities that residents expect.
Your Parish Council uses this money to maintain the recreation ground, tennis court and play area at Tadpole Lane and the small piece of amenity land at Broomhill. This involves cutting the grass and the hedges, regularly emptying the bins, safety inspections of the play area and trees and general maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and facilities. The Parish Council also supports lots of local groups such as the Village Pump, which supports older people in the village, the Ewshot Theatre Company, the Christmas Fair, the Village Hall and the Village Show.
The Parish Council encourages all residents to stay informed about parish matters and invites you to attend regular council meetings, which are open to the public. Information about the council’s activities, services, and budget will also be available on the Parish Council website www.ewshotparishcouncil.gov.uk
