Recycle Your Real Christmas Tree

Published: 18 December 2025

If you have a real Christmas tree and subscribe to the garden waste collection service, you can leave this out for recycling with your green waste collection when this restarts in January.

If you don’t subscribe to the garden waste collection service there are eight free Christmas tree recycling points across the district. These will be available from Friday 2 January to Saturday 31 January 2026. You can find these in the following locations:

  • Blackwater – Memorial Hall, Hawley Green (in car park at rear) GU17 9BW
  • Crondall – Bowling Alley (on grass opposite junction with Pankridge Street) GU10 5RL
  • Edenbrook – Country Park Car Park, The Brambles, Fleet GU51 5DW
  • Ewshot – Village Hall, Tadpole Lane GU10 5BX
  • Fleet – Church Road Car Park GU51 4ND
  • Hook – Crossway Manor Car Park, Reading Road (opposite the White Hart Pub) RG27 9DU
  • Odiham – Colt Hill (in lay-by at very end of London Road) RG29 1AL
  • Yateley – Town Council Offices, Reading Road GU46 7RP

These points are for real Christmas trees only. Please don’t take artificial trees, decorations, or trees over 1.8 m (they can be cut in half).

The trees collected are then transformed into ProGrow Soil conditioner for gardens and wood chippings for our parks.

For details of all waste and recycling over Christmas please check the Hart District Council website.
